A smarter maintenance cycle

Worn boards are a maintenance problem—not always a replacement problem.

Deep knife grooves, rough surfaces and discoloration can make cutting boards harder to clean and easier to flag. When a board is still structurally sound, resurfacing can restore a smooth, serviceable surface without buying another full set.

  • Board condition auditWe inspect material, thickness, warping, cracks and damage before recommending service.
  • Restore only what is safeBoards that are split, excessively thin, severely warped or otherwise unsafe are flagged for replacement.
  • Budget with fewer surprisesRecurring service helps prevent a sudden, full-fleet board replacement expense.

See the difference

Restore a smooth, cleanable working surface.

Refinishing removes a controlled amount of damaged material to reduce grooves and surface wear. The result is a smoother board that is easier for your team to maintain correctly.

Not every board should be saved.
Our process includes a condition check. Unsafe boards are rejected and clearly identified for replacement rather than refinished.

Questions from restaurant operators

What you should know before refinishing.

Does refinishing guarantee that we will pass a health inspection?

No service provider can guarantee an inspection outcome. Refinishing is one part of maintaining smooth, cleanable food-contact equipment. Your kitchen must still follow all applicable cleaning, sanitizing, storage and food-safety procedures.

Can every cutting board be refinished?

No. Boards with cracks, splits, severe warping, heat damage, structural failure or insufficient remaining thickness may need replacement. We assess eligibility before work begins.

Do you service both wood and plastic boards?

Yes. We service eligible commercial plastic boards and wood butcher-block style boards using different material-appropriate processes.

Can you work while the restaurant is operating?

Service timing depends on the work area, ventilation, board volume and your kitchen schedule. Most operators prefer before-opening, after-closing or designated low-volume appointments.

How often should boards be refinished?

There is no universal schedule. Wear depends on board material, thickness, knife use, cleaning practices and service volume. We recommend a cadence after reviewing your inventory and usage.

What is included in a subscription plan?

Plans can include recurring inspections, scheduled resurfacing, board inventory notes, service records, priority appointment windows and replacement recommendations.
